ADOPT-A-BLOCK

Adopt-A-Block (AAB) is the community outreach missions team at Emmanuel. The heart of this ministry is simply: FIND A NEED, FILL IT. FIND A HURT, HEAL IT. This outreach team embodies being the Church to our community outside of the church walls. Our AAB Outreach team meets at 8:30am in the All Purpose Center on the 3rd Saturday of each month. For over 8 years, we have delivered meals door-to door around the Church Street and Doverdale neighborhoods and built relationships with individuals and families within our community. In 2020, this team came together with the Lower Shore Vulnerable Populations Task Force, Maryland Food Bank, and other organizations to host and participate in drive-thru community distribution events. Fresh food boxes, non-perishable food items, healthcare information, rental assistance, and other resources were often available at these events. With food as the bridge to connecting with community members, we continue to go out into our community and have the opportunity to reach greater needs  of people in Salisbury. If you are interested in getting plugged in, contact our team!
